Remembering Pop Pop..........

Bertram Lee is his name, and he departed this life on Saturday August 6, 2005. He wasn't sick, rather things just started to break down if you will. I think people think I'm a little "weird" because of how I am reacting to his death, but to me it's all good. He was 92 and lived a full and good life. Not to mention, he loved the Lord so I know where he's spending eternity. Because of this I rejoice for him.

I tell you the truth, this is the happiest man I have ever known and if you ever wanted to know what having true and authentic joy looked like you would find out upon meeting him.

As a young teen, while I didn't always pay full attention to the stories about his life, I will remember his laugh, his smile and the way he expressed his love for his granddaughter Sandy. He loved her dearly and demonstrated that love by always speaking words of life to her and also by helping her out financially with college.I cannot say enough how wonderful he was and how blessed my grandparents were to have each other. I shall never forget him.......

PaPa did walk with joy, at all times. I love how you have dealt with the loss of his earthly vessel. I understand. When Nana passed on to be with Jesus, I knew that she was headed home. I had the opportunity to spend a lifetime with her. She had survived much, and Jesus was with her through it all. I am glad that you also shared PaPa with me. Love ya much!!!
