Fast Food Nation

You know those people who talk about being healthy,
yearn to be healthy, have been told by the doctors to lose weight,
do good for a while, cry when they fall off the wagon but continues to make
bad food choices every so often? Yeah, that's me. (I'm sure I'm not the only one)
Since I've been in NJ with my mom, I've had
fast food EVERYDAY. And, I haven't been meeting
my water quota.
Why am I admitting this?
Probably because I
feel disgusting now... It's been 6 days.
I've had McDonald's, Wendy's, Chinese take out
and Burger King not to mention the fried wings, fried shrimp and french fries
my mom made the other day.
There is something about coming home that makes me go crazy.
It doesn't help that my mom is moving which
makes it easier to run and grab stuff after we've been packing.
This is beyond falling of the wagon. It's down right
Yuck. That's all I can say. But what's done is done.
Today is another day and I am going to be accountable to all my blogger friends by saying that I WILL make better choices today come hell or high water.....
5 What's on Your Write Mind?:
Acknowledgment is the first, and hardest, step - and look at you. You've done that much. Now you can do anything!
Thats right! You tell her Darius! :)
we are a dying community because of our poor diets. if it's not fast-food, it is our "soul food" that does the trick. we fill ourselves up with a gang of pork, fried chicken and fish, red meat, fat back, greens, and a host of other things that are bad for us overtime because of mass consumption.
anything in moderation never hurt anyone. but the worst that can be done is to consume a lot of low-grade junk food and not exercise or take in enough water to pass that mess through our system properly.
i am sure that you will get a grapple on this issue. always remember that you have one life to live. you are young now, but you have to think about your future; you will not be 30-years old forever. and when you are 60 or 70-years old, you don't want to be all broke down because of your poor diet 40 years earlier in life.
stay up sis!

Marcus, you are so insightful and encouraging. I am taking one day at a time. now that I am back home in my element I am making better choices (although, I do take vacations and need to work this out) I'm back in the gym now with new energy to do it right. I dont want to be an old sick lady so I MUST do what I have to do.
I think you should train me :)
@Sandy: oh, so i guess you figured out that i was a bodybuilder. everyone thinks because i bodybuild i am trainer and they want me to train them...lol. but seriously, it will all work out for you sis, just stay focused :-]
