My Life as a "Stuff Addict"

Helping my mother pack up her crib and move to Florida this month was inspiration for me to come back home and get my own house in order. She had soooooooooooooo much stuff that it got to be overwhelming and very frustrating and it was just enough to get me to come home and clean clean clean and purge purge purge. This weekend was the perfect time to start.
I changed my bed spread. I'll be covering the mirrors soon as they irritate me and painting.
I cleaned out the drawers in my kitchen. It may not look like it but trust that it's clean
I straightened out my spice cabinet. Yippee!
I cleaned and scrubbed my bathroom. Aaaahh serenity now
And now I'm about to take a trip to the DARK SIDE. The bain of my existence. The thing that haunts me daily. My office/serenity now room (I mean serenity NOT room). Everything gets thrown in this room and the door gets shut but I think I'm ready. I'm going on vacation the 24th for a week and my goal is to have this room cleaned, painted and organized with shelving before I go. I will surely send you updates.
After this, I will be getting new window's (if I can manage to replenish the window fund that I spent over the past 6 months 2G's down the drain) and prayerfully some new cabinets, floor and counter top in the kitchen and new closet systems in the "junk" room and in my bedroom.... Send donations if you feel so inclined :)

okay...I stumbled here from Torrance's...I try to give new blogs a look ...and I love the name of this blog- and then I saw the story on organizing...wow...I am so inspired....and I love the sink...very cool...so I hope you don't mind...but you really did help inspire me to Finally tackle my kitchen...
thx for stopping by. I'm glad that I can be an inspiration! I can't remember why or how I came up with the blog name and the sink was the idea of a friend of mine who is a kitchen and bathroom designer. the thing it sits on was a kitchen cart from ikea that we cut the legs off and stained, the sink i got from ebay :)
Hey Sistah! This is a good time to organize...think I'll do my closets again...this week...my room closet was beautiful...but it's back to being a hot mess...thanks for the inspiration!

Even tho' I'm only reading this now I too feel inspired to go clean...been throwing stuff into the spare room and shutting the door for a few weeks now. Need to attend to it soon or else I'll lose one (or more) of the kids the next time they wander in there...they'll never make it out alive *lol*
